These are the project phases and an estimate of how long each should take. It isn't driven by dates but by stage completion.

1. Brainstorming | Week 1

  • generate possible names

2. Concepting | Weeks 1-3

  • approval of conceptual mood board
  • sketching and development of concept
  • preparation of (3) initial concepts for client review

3. Visual Refinement | Weeks 3-4

  • refinement of concept based on your feedback
  • preparation for final output

4. Website Planning | Weeks 4-6

  • creation of sitemap/plan
  • selection of domain name
  • client sign-off on sitemap/plan
  • creation of website content*

5. Website Review | Weeks 6-10

  • application of plan to site**
  • refinement based on your ongoing feedback

6. Launch | Weeks 10-12

  • review of all pages
  • preparing site for live launch:
    • (1) social graphic to support site launch
  • official site launch, a.k.a. your official debut!


* With client. Designer is not responsible for writing all site content. Includes photo selection and other supporting content.

** Via unlisted pages. The live site won't be live until your final approval.


Here's what you can expect to see on your final invoice.

Any requests beyond the above outlined worked may incur additional fees (i.e.: stock photography, additional design requests like business cards, flyers, social media styling, etc.)

I'm here to talk about any extras you'd like to include. Here's what to expect:

Website: $1,350.00

Total Quote: $2,900.00

Payments can be broken into thirds to correspond with the 3-month project length. I accept checks (made out to "Lou-Ann Wattley Design, LLC"), and payments via PayPal.

review of terms

Along with a deposit, your signature via a HelloSign version of these terms makes this project official. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

1. Scope of Work

The scope of work is as per the above notes and subject to the same assumptions. Should the scope of work change in any way, this estimate is subject to revision and any additional work will not be undertaken until the Client has approved the revised estimate and letter of agreement.

2. Working Hours

Working hours are generally between 9am–4pm, Monday through Friday.

3. Estimates

The fees and expenses shown are minimum estimates only. They do not include cost of printing, shipped samples or other extraneous costs. Client will always be notified of any costs BEFORE they are incurred. Final fees and expenses will be shown on the final invoice.

4. Payment

Payment of balance is due before release of final art. The Client’s right to use the work is conditioned upon receipt of payment within thirty days of acceptance of final invoice, and upon Client’s compliance with the terms of this agreement. A five percent (5%) monthly service charge will be billed against late payment. Designer reserves the right to suspend work or withhold material should the Client be in breach of the payment schedule.

5. Reservation of Rights

All rights not expressly granted in this document are retained by the Designer, including any electronic rights or usage, and including, but not limited to: all rights to initial sketches, compositions or any other preliminary materials. Any use additional to that expressly granted above requires a separate agreement.

6. Releases

The Client shall indemnify the Designer against all claims and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, due to uses for which no release was requested in writing or uses that exceed authority granted by a release.

7. Confidentiality

All work undertaken by Designer shall be confidential, until such time as the material becomes available in the public domain.

8. Alterations to Completed Work

Any electronic alteration of artwork or graphic design comprising the Designer’s work products (color shift, mirroring, flopping, combination cut and paste, deletion) is prohibited without the express permission of the Designer. The Designer will be given first opportunity to make any alterations required. Unauthorized alterations shall constitute additional use and will be billed accordingly.

9. Revisions

Additional fees will be charged for revisions made after (3) rounds, and for revisions reflecting a new direction to the assignment, or new conceptual input after the concept/plan sign-off.

10. Ownership

All final content created, written, edited, and managed by Lou-Ann Wattley Design remains the property of the Client, unless otherwise negotiated in writing. The client agrees to allow the Designer to use final work (e.g. logo, brochure, direct-mail, collateral, etc.) for portfolio purposes, unless otherwise noted in writing by the Client.

11. Cancellation or “Kill Fees”

If this project is cancelled or postponed indefinitely, the Client shall be liable to reimburse the Designer. Thirty-three percent (33%) of the balance is due within 30 days of notification that for any reason the job is canceled or postponed before the final stage. One hundred percent (100%) of the total fee is due despite cancellation or postponement of the job if the final art/changes have been completed. Upon cancellation or “kill”, all rights to the art revert to the Designer and all original art must be returned, including sketches, comps, or other preliminary materials.
